Temporary employment by employment agencies. What are the consequences of leaving the agency for the employer?

I temporary employment by an employment agency. There is a possibility that the company has permanent positions, but I was told that the agency responsible of the company if I start working for them directly. Does anyone know any rules around this?

If the company you hired by the temp agency, they know what rules and consequences are to hire you as a regular employee. If they offer you work, take it and let them deal with the employment agency. The agency is right to protect themselves from loss of income they receive having you work through their agency. Companies pay agencies for temporary employees who are hired as long as they are in a temporary status. And this is much cheaper than paying for all of your benefits as a regular employee. It is also much easy for them to fire you for any reason you do not develop or they simply do not work for you, no more. If feel they want you as a regular employee, they can invest that extra money you (pay your benefits) and your salary. And they pay the temp agency a fee to let them out of their contract with the agency. In your case, there is no fee or penalty you must pay. You just start working in the business as a regular employee.
