The CNC programmer could work on programming a CNC milling machine 5-axis WEDM machine, CNC EDM diver, laser cutting machine, CNC lathe, and more. It could also be responsible for programming the electrodes of the EDM machine, among others.

How does one become a CNC programmer?
Basically, there are two roads to take. The first is to become an apprentice to injection mold, assuming your main interest lies in the CAM CNC programming. Over time, you will be directed more towards the CNC programming.
The other route is to follow a course designed to develop skills necessary to obtain a job CNC programmer you are hoping to win. Some colleges offer courses in technical colleges and community and universities. This path can find a job more quickly because you're already partially trained and can start producing for the company quickly.
A path is not necessarily better than another in the long term though.
What a typical day for a CNC programmer?
Clearly, much of the day in front of a computer screen. There are also several times when you will need to be one of many machine tools that you specify. This variety can offer a welcome respite to sit all day in front of a computer screen.
You will also communicate with various machine operators, moulders and mold makers. The work of a CNC programmer touches almost every aspect of the entire molding process. This can make you a hero or a villain!
