In our series of recruitment of finance, we will examine the roles of finance jobs. The first of the series is the role a financial controller.

Finance Controllers work directly with CFOs to manage the day for questions funding a company day. This role is seen as the springboard to become a director of finance and involves tasks such as creating financing strategies, together with cash flows, account creation, creation and verification of financial goals, in collaboration with management, monitoring departments and many others.

Financial Controllers use their knowledge to help make decisions when their company is looking at potential acquisitions and will be part of the funds and most major business decisions.

Candidates to finance controller jobs must have an accounting background and once in the role will be responsible for managing teams of clerks who deal Ledger with more administrative and accounting aspects of the department.

Financial controllers often move to become Finance Directors, and some become even general managers or general managers, so there are great career opportunities that come with this role.

As with most jobs in the finance sector, wages are at the upper end, students can earn up to £ 25,000 and controllers Finance skilled can earn up to £ 45,000 per year. As your experience grows and time in the role, your salary can increase to between £ 50,000 and £ 100 000.
