How do I find and / or apply for a job I will not be able to start for a few months?

I am a college graduate with a degree in political science. I just have a part time job near home, but I plan to move to another city (not yet decided which one) in a few months. I like to find a full time job with benefits, perhaps as a research assistant. The problem is, I want to line up a job now. I do not know how to search or apply for a job that I can not start for several months. Especially that there is not much social science jobs I can get no experience or training, I need time to adapt my applications. Also, if I can now find jobs in some cities, it will help me decide which city to live in and I would be able to find housing in advance. So please, if you have had similar problems, tell me how you solved. Details on the search engines good would also be useful. Thank you!

Try contacting companies directly and telling them your goals and plans to move. Most companies will help you relocate and to pay certain amenities such as rent first month and moving expenses. Especially if you're right college! You are a very desirable candidate.
