Llandudno – Conwy – is one of the main resorts of Wales. It is well-planned streets and walk off to Edward Mostyn and Owain Williams, who in the middle of the nineteenth century a new city built on former marshland below the Great Orme.

Llandudno provides not a beach, but two. On the opposite side of the promontory is Conwy West Shore, with a terrace sea wall and beach sand and pebbles at the foot of sand dunes. Swimming is safe to high tide but the tide goes a long way to low tide, and venturing too far on the sand could mean being cut by rising water. West Shore provides a playground and wading pool and a putting green.

On the other side of the Great Orme is the North Shore, two mile sweep of beach bordered by a promenade, with the jetty at the west end and Little Ormes Head at the eastern end. Here takes over shingle sand. Water skiing, sailing and fishing trips are available from the pier.

Llandudno is a child of age Railway. In 1850 the population was about a mile, but at the time the branch opened in 1858 the new town is being developed with wide streets, big houses and the promenade. The completion of the pier with flags decorated attracted even more visitors by boat from Merseyside.

Llandudno has never lost its elegance and cafes today gives it an almost continental. Its main attractions are always tracks that have now traditional amusements such as donkey rides and Punch and Judy shows.

Museum of local history of the city covers the area's history from the Bronze Age to Roman times, while the Alice in Wonderland Visitor Center, said the city connection with the writer Lewis Carroll.
