You are in their forties and fifties, and look to you as a person who works, and find that you are still asking "what I want to be when I grow up? "Although it may feel scary, looked good, there is a huge opportunity.

Very few we know what we want to do (professionally) as children. Most of us have varied interests as we grow, often a topic of study college we are good enough, and are faced with the question: what now?

Many of us then take a job that serves as a stopgap until we find what we want. An easy option is to move towards a profession such as law and accounting – there is always a need for these skills. Sometimes it may be a less powerful, but the motivation to do so, it may be similar.

Over the years, we move jobs and suddenly find, in our mid forties and fifties, that the question "what do I want to be when I grow up?" has not been satisfactorily answered. And now you're grown up.

At this age, the question is more frightening it was when you were younger. You have to load and responsibilities, and a growing panic, or despair that you really should know what you want to do.

Another way to see this. For all but the few who knew from childhood what they want to do our professional lives are not "a career as such, but rather an extended experiment, conducted by us in the real world. We test different ways of living. We work in different ways in different places.

When you are in their forties, you've accumulated a mass of valuable information about yourself as a professional. Looking back on your life, you can discover what works for you, and what does not work. Where are your strengths. What kind of institutions and fields that you enjoy working as seen discovered that you can now target exactly workplace in which, finally, to build a pleasant and successful "career."
