Leavenworth, Washington is a Bavarian style village of 2,500 inhabitants in the central part of the state. It is located in the Wenatchee River valley on the side Dry is the Cascade Mountains. In town, there is the Leavenworth Ski Hill, which is operated by a nonprofit offering affordable skiing, just north of the city with two tow rope, tubing hill, a hill ski jumping and 26 km of Nordic trails. Nordic skiing is also available at Stevens Pass.
