Looking for employment in the security sector has never been so easy. Most security companies are always looking guardians of quality who are able to meet the needs of their customers and are customer focused. A common problem shared by security companies is to find a good training, good staff and reliable.
I work in the security sector for over 14 years. Meanwhile, I worked for a number of security providers in three states of Australia, and I always had full employment. As you are well presented show enthusiasm, common sense and are punctual and reliable, you will soon earn a reputation for excellent reputation in the industry security.
The following tips are designed to help you secure a position in the security sector and to increase your chances of job security benefits. Personally, I use the following format whenever I'm looking for new jobs.
Remember, you are applying for a job in uniform.
1. Have a current security and crowd control license for the state or territory you will work.
2. Make sure your first aid certificate is current.
3. Have a resume professionally presented. Place a picture of you on the front page carries a minimum of a shirt and tie. Make sure you do not wear excessive jewelry, tattoos or piercing showing unconventional.
4. Send your resume to all security companies want to work. Do not wait for them to do advertising. Make sure you include in your resume all of your qualities to improve your employment prospects.
5. I have not had corporate communication in a week, it is recommended followed by a phone call to inquire whether your application is accepted or if further information or clarification is needed.
6. Keep in regular communication with your provider safety training, (Make sure that qualifications are current and ongoing). Most states and territories require a Certificate II in Security Operations as standard minimum of training, however a certificate III in security operations will benefit your employment prospects.
7. Always present to your interview in a business suit, or at least a shirt and tie, neatly ironed trousers and black leather lace shoes. Have a copy of your resume with you, all certificates, security and crowd control your license, driving license and other information that could increase your chances of getting a job.
8. During your interview, be confident but not pretentious. Demonstrate enthusiasm, listen the questions before you answer, and in doing so, remember that the onus is on you to convince the employer to choose you over all other candidates. Emphasize your strengths and employability skills such as your strong beliefs in loyalty to the company, your enthusiasm to learn and grow with the company, your willingness to be flexible when it comes to different positions, your philosophy the importance of customer / client service, your moral principles and work ethics.
9. When you find a job, remember not that flexibility and cooperation are important strategies for protecting your employment and advancement within the company.
10. It is very rare that you will be assigned the most important positions or prestigious society has to offer at the beginning of your employment. It is generally those positions that will be entrusted to staff who have demonstrated loyalty to the company and have a story about the job. If you are flexible and accept positions that are offered, regardless of whether they are at higher or lower scale of importance, your willingness to oblige and provide the same high level of professionalism and quality service at each position, dividends and will not go unnoticed by your employer, which in turn can that enhance your career.
