Most people I talk to are looking for a new job have searched for at least two months. When I ask them what techniques, tactics, resources and professional help they used, there is usually a long pause.
Most executives consider campaign seeking jobs in the act of sitting at a computer for more than 4 hours per day to complete online applications. Some frameworks include service delivery or take some form of resume writing help and believe they are on their way to the use of their dreams and do everything that they too need.
This campaign is not a job search. This is what the majority of applicants Job done without success. It is disconcerting that people continue to expect better results than others even if they do exactly the same things. There are currently about 1 job for every 6 applicants for employment, and with this kind of competition you have to do what others do not to set yourself apart. Let me repeat: "You must do what others are not."
"So what should I do? "Is the question that always follows.
Listen to the experts and network. Below is a list of five actions that I recommend set as objectives to accomplish each day. I've included 2 resources to help you achieve that goal. This is the foundation of a campaign Job search quality. These are also actions that set you apart from the crowd, because very few professionals who are looking for work completion these objectives. You'll be surprised how many more interviews you are scheduling, people you meet, and how best we concerns about your chances of finding employment quickly.
1. Use at least one job seeker without resources daily. There are literally thousands available Online. I am amazed by the number of people paying more than $ 1,000 for help in their job search when there are 10 free resources, performing the same goals for the service every 1 to high prices.
2. Email your CV directly to at least 1 hiring manager daily. An estimated 100 to more than 500 applicants for every job advertisement online. Many companies do not post their jobs longer because they will not be flooded curriculum vitae. For this and other reasons, it is imperative to send your resume directly to hiring managers. Otherwise, you're lost in the mass, you will never know about job-published, and you'll be relying on luck to be hired. I say this because you'll be lucky if a manager hiring picks up your resume to review the 100 applicants.
3. Call at least 1 hiring manager by day, introduce yourself, inquire about current opportunities within their company, ask them to review your resume and ask them to keep in mind for future opportunities. If they say: "I am not the person you should talk too, ask them is, and then give that person a appeal. This is the essence of networking. Speaking from experience I always remembered professionals who called me directly and when the occasion on the road from this small group of people who contacted me when I first candidates considered for the position.
4. Call at least one guidance counselor or recruiter by day and ask about opportunities, the network for future opportunities, ask for advice, and extract other possible information that will help your job search. Recruiters love to talk to candidates qualified and you will be surprised by the knowledge that you can achieve from an initial, free, phone call to a career counselor. They are people who have dedicated their careers to talent search and acquisition. This is all we did all day every day and it is foolish not to use this knowledge and information.
5. Read at least 1 blog post once wrote a career counselor quality or a recruiter and try to implement the advice given in the article.
In conclusion, keep your head. If you've been seeking a new opportunity without success you have something in common with more than 15 million people in the United States only. The key is to differentiate yourself by doing what others do not. If you do you'll be amazed dramatically every aspect of your marketing job search improves.
Resources – These 2 resources will get you started and are able to accomplish all 5 goals stated above.
