New Job ….?

Hi. I just started a new job. Hired as an accounting manager. I'm outside the company and come in and from the manager of several people (about 4) in the office who have worked there for 4-5 years. Tips, advice and suggestions on how to ensure a smooth transition, to obtain the support of my new staff and get them to cooperate with me? I believe in his leadership providing a good example, they are technically competent, working as a team ect. Any advice is appreciated!

See if you can get a small raise for your new crew …. you will light a very good right away. If you can get an increase, albeit small for them, maybe you can get them an extra social benefit. Have – a conference in private with each member of your staff, asking their opinion about their workload, which should be expected of them, what they expect of you, etc. People like to believe that their supervisor cares what they think, and listen to what they have to say.
