How can I tell potential employers I only want to work part time?

I am a single woman currently working without children.I full time.I have aging parents who also take a considerable amount of my work and my parents time.Between there is no time for me.In my situation allowed me to work part time, although this is not possible with my present employer, who do not use some of the staff time, but what reasons can you give to potential new employers of the reasons why I want to work part time? If I say I need more time to devote to my parents, will they think I am a liability? On the other hand, if I say I want more time for myself, employers will think I do am not committed to my work, who am I? I would like to spend some extra time doing voluntary work, is it acceptable reason give? If I do get a part-time job, will I ever be taken seriously by employers again? After all, there may come a time when I need to return to work full time.

If you work full time 8:00 to 4:00 p.m. every day, talk to your employer that you plan to work from 6:00 am to 10:00 from4: noon-20: 00 so you have an interval of six hours during the day to meet your aging parents. This is similar to part-time employment.
