Other features include a new system parental notification, online classes for credit recovery and accurate mapping and monitoring systems for the dropout rate. Another option program is the collaboration of community organizations and officials.

Ultimately, students agree that abandonment is a big mistake. A survey published by the National Governors Association in 2005 revealed that young people who still want to attend college at a rate of 87 percent. Los Angeles Unified School District is hoping for a big change, hoping to give students a better future.
