social work?

I'm 16 and I left school this year. I decided that whatever I do, I'll do apprenticeship.I've always wanted one as a social worker. I want to help find housing for people and help with other needs Financial. I was told to do an apprenticeship in health and social services. When went to the training center i was told that I will have work in a house, but I do not want to work for my internship. What shall I do? can you do an apprenticeship in health and social services in the council?? please help.

To be a social worker you need a minimum of a Bachelor of Social (BA) and really, you probably want an MSW (Masters). What a unique social work degree is the amount of training required (Similar to an apprenticeship). You can not do an internship with a social worker – you'll need to go to college. Now you can HS leave and get a GED, then go to a community college – but you'll probably be better served by remaining in HS Now you may be able to find a job as an assistant (which is what it looks like you describe). However, you will not really be able to achieve your goal of helping people find housing and financial assistance. DA
