Whether you love or hate Bill Gates … you hit the nail on the head when he recently gave a speech at a high school diploma.

Here are 11 rules of employment Advice Your Teens are not learning at school:

Rule 1: Life is not fair – get used to it!

Life is not fair especially to work. Some work harder than others for less pay … some work less for more pay.

Rule 2: The world does not care about your self-esteem.

Neither does your boss. He wants the work to be done – and well made.

Rule 3: You can make $ 60,000 a year right out of high school. Or become a vice president of college.

If you do not believe me, ask all recent graduates.

Rule 4: If you think your teacher is difficult, wait until you have a boss.

Or obnoxious co-workers that you're stuck working 8 hours per day.

Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

I think every young person should be required to work in a restaurant fast food. They learn the meaning of work hard and be motivated to continue their studies!

Rule 6: If you mess up, it is not the fault of your parents. So do not whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

The best thing you can do for your children is let them make their own mistakes. And do not make excuses for them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents were not as boring they are now.

They got that way paying your bills, do your laundry, and listening to you talk about what you're cool.

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life has not changed.

In some schools they have abolished failing grades and they will give you as many times as you want to get the right answer. This does not bear the slightest resemblance to any in real life.

There is no extra credit work if you screw something up. And if you are not doing your job – you'll be fired.

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You do not get summers off and
few employers are interested in helping you are. Do this on your own time.

There is no spring break either. You'll be lucky if you get 2 weeks paid vacation.

Rule 10: Television is not real life. In real life actually having to leave the coffee shop and employment.

And you will not be able to surf the Internet or listen to your iPod or another.

Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you 'll end up working for one.

Your boss does not care if you were popular in high school. No one does.
