voluntary jobs

For a couple of years I have not had a job. My last job was washing dishes and I left it in the middle of the depression. My depression came because I have bipolar disorder, but I firmly believe it was triggered by washing the dishes that made me depressed.

For nineteen months my depression has kept me in bed for two in the afternoon, when I woke up normally and then wanted to go to bed gain five hours later. I was very depressed and I just did not work, had no reason to get up every day. During these nineteen months since I wrote about five articles a week and it made me feel like I'm contributing to society but sleep was a real problem.

The crisis came a few weeks when I discovered I was addicted to sleeping pills. I was taking two pills and was unable to sleep. Then one evening I took another two days after the first two do not seem to work. The next night, I do not have pills that I had missed and I spent six hours in bed tossing and turning before falling asleep.

The next night I tried for three hours to sleep and decided to get up and stay for the night and go to bed that night. The following night is I came and talked to a friend bipolar and he said it would take several days for the pills that I was hooked out of my system. I ended up staying up that night and the next day I fell in four hours of fatigue.

I went to see my mental health nurse, the next and together we decided I had to find a voluntary job five days a week in order to have a reason to get out of bed. I rang my pastor and received a job the next day in a soup kitchen helping prepare your food and got it, wash the dishes again.

Out of the house gives me a reason getting up in the morning. Of course, when my alarm rings at 8 am I'm tired. I find that I'm tired until about 12:00 to 12:00. But now I'm not sleeping in and wasting the days away in his sleep. We feed sixty people every day and I serve food, I can say hello to people who come in.

The chef is a woman from New Zealand and is a wonderful person who is very helpful and friendly with me and I find myself to enjoy myself. There is a pride that comes up in my work and when I get on the train the morning of his right to go to work with everyone.

If you are depressed and out of work then I suggest you get in touch with local people who manipulate the forces of labor voluntary and you get a job to do. Some cities have agencies that manage the many volunteer jobs for people.

I work Hi with the Army and they are really good for me. I work with a lady who lives with her partner outside of marriage and other assistance in the kitchen which is not a Christian. Hi The Army does not seem to judge people who want to work with them to serve the poor.

Since I work in the past two weeks I had a better mood, have not been sleeping more and I have a new purpose in life. I develop new friendships with people I work with and service and is a very positive step for my sanity.

I feel happy.

I encourage unemployed to seek employment that you work for free.

May God bless you
