workplace?

A manager and his assistant in our service bank is constantly look at my area is to mistakes and it is so obvious. Yet they try to pretend to be our friends. I am puzzled, how can they be so quick and gratefully acknowledges the mistakes of others? They are best buddies and are almost exactly alike in their personalities and I condescending attitudes. I decided not to speak with them if I absolutely have to and that seems to work well so far. Other suggestions?
