The job search can really wear a person down. For those who are unemployed, you spent hours at home job search advice, do research on prospective companies, and with telephone interviews. If you're lucky, you can go to a networking event and have some crackers and soda to the ideal of meeting someone who can help you in your search. For those who have a job, you feel worn to your current job and keep up appearances that you are still dedicated to the company and position. Until you interview back door, looking for new deals when you get home from work and on weekends. It's exhausting!
The important thing is to not let that go how you look.
What I mean by that?
When you do not feel motivated and challenged by your work, it is more difficult to put on an enthusiastic, polished image. Job takes more time to watch over the Earth, and if it is unsatisfactory, he will wear on you.
The next time you're outside, somebody notice that is particularly striking in appearance. This kind of person who makes you say: "I want to BE." When you look at them, you can imagine having job interviews and amazing career. Everyone does it, it should not even try to pretend to me that you do not.
Now specify what is in them that makes you say that. Is it their how to dress? Their hair? If a woman is their nails done? Do they seem very fit? Is this the way they carry themselves? Is this the way they talk? What are the characteristics of those that you find most attractive and magnetic?
I never say that you are someone you're not. You will not be at ease and you will always have the guilt of wondering how you keep that up on your first day at work. However, I mean if there are things about you that you've always wanted to improve, that you take this period of transition achieve, and which in turn will make you feel better about yourself.
For example, a few years ago I went to the gym fairly regularly and took a great class called total body conditioning. We worked with weights so it was low impact, and I still remember the firmness of my arms and my legs were and how I became tonic. I walked with more confidence because I was proud of my new body.
So What is your confidence builder? What could you change yourself that would instantly turn you into the person you admire, even if only in a small way? Maybe it's a new haircut or you dive a little over a new interview suit. If finances are tight, it could be something as simple as going to your local library and check some exercise DVD's.
Your appearance In an interview is very important to do the job, and with the painful process it is, you deserve to take the time to do something for you that will improve your image and your chances of landing this position.
